Another Year in the Life

I'm a twenty something associate pastor at a Baptist church, newly married who loves to share my narrative with others according to my friends. I find joy in writing even though I readily admit that I'm a horrible speller (pardon my errors). Come journey through my reflections of life, work and faith. This year is bound to be interesting, I know!

Fall Roadtrip

This weekend (coming back on Saturday night, of course) Kevin and I traveled to Radford, VA for my dear friend Anna Kate's wedding. It was a lot of fun to see her again (sadly we hadn't had a face to face meeting since my wedding last October) and to celebrate this happy time with her. I don't think that AK could quit smiling the whole time! What a beautiful bride in love with her man!
Besides getting to hang out with Anna Kate and meet people in her life that I had heard so much about (but had never had the chance to meet), I also enjoyed spending time with my husband and dear friend, Abby who was also a bridesmaid with me. We took a hotel tour together of Southern VA in an effort to use our hotel "points" and stay for free. And, in turn, saw a lot of beautiful changing leaves. It was breathe taking!
During the actual wedding events themselves, the funny part was that four out of the five bridal party members were ordained ministers. It was a little weird for all of us to not be doing the wedding ourselves, but a nice break too!

The only problem the whole weekend was that we were really cold. The reception was at a beautiful scenic location but as you can tell from the picture above, there was nothing more that Abby and I wanted than to have our coats back on as soon as possible!
Congrats, Anna Kate and Will and for letting us share in your special weekend!
