Another Year in the Life

I'm a twenty something associate pastor at a Baptist church, newly married who loves to share my narrative with others according to my friends. I find joy in writing even though I readily admit that I'm a horrible speller (pardon my errors). Come journey through my reflections of life, work and faith. This year is bound to be interesting, I know!

10 Statements

The idea for this blog came from a friend of mine, Susan. I was catching up on reading some other blogs which included hers and decieded to copy her, just for fun.

So, here I go:

1. This is the first time that I'll not be home for Christmas Eve or Christmas Day in my entire life.

2. Gaithersburg is not the wilderness, contrary to popular belief of many DC city dwellers I know. Today I visited our mall for the first time learned that we have an Ann Taylor. Now I know I can happily live here.

3. When one is aware more fully of his or her own failings and readily admits them, forgiveness of others is much easier.

4. The anticipation of knowing one will work more than 12 hours on Christmas Eve makes one recall how much they must really love God or just be crazy!

5. The excitement of waiting to give presents/ recieve them is usually better than the actually unwrapping moment (because often you find those fuzzy socks don't look as exciting on ____ as they did in the store).

6. Three tired pastors on a Monday following the third week of Advent= the definition of zany.

7. I have wanted a one of those soak your feet electric machines for 10 years now and have yet to recieve it on any occasion. I think I'm going to have to break down and buy it for myself asap.

8. Never set one's phone down at a party. It might grow legs and disappear before the night is over. (Yes, I've lost my cell phone AGAIN).

9. Did I mention I'm not going to be home on Christmas Day this year? (I will be with my boyfriend's family, though which is special in its own way :)

10. Last, but not least: when buying home decor, never be afraid to buy more than 400 thread count sheets (thanks, Amy). You will complement yourself for such a great purchase every night.

    Hi Elizabeth

You forgotten some more on your list:

    11. Make sure everyone take there presents when leaveing the house.

Because they may leave them behind the coutch coustion, under the table and behind the Christmas tree.

But sorry about your phone. Thank you for a wonderful party. I'm going to miss you at Calvary.

    You're Friend
    Will
