Another Year in the Life

I'm a twenty something associate pastor at a Baptist church, newly married who loves to share my narrative with others according to my friends. I find joy in writing even though I readily admit that I'm a horrible speller (pardon my errors). Come journey through my reflections of life, work and faith. This year is bound to be interesting, I know!

Going to Space!

So, what does a girl do with some time off? Well recently (much to my surprise) I’ve found myself visiting several space museums. First, it was in Huntsville, AL a couple weeks ago while at my parents’ house. My good friends Kristina and Richard came down from the Nashville area to visit. So, after my having brunch, the four of us found our way downtown to the Huntsville Space and Rocket Museum. Highlights included the simulation rides and the IMAX movie. This museum had a large outside exhibit area (as you can tell from the pictures below). Kevin looks like an ant next to the rocket!
Then, on Monday, the children whom are currently my housemates and I took the Metro to the National Mall in DC. We strolled along Smithsonian Row (as some people call it) and found ourselves exploring the Air and Space Museum. Some of our favorite activities were in the “How Does It Fly?” room and of course the Food Court was a big hit too. As you can tell from the picture below, Sam was really happy with me after we had ice cream.

It’s great to have time to be a tourist sometimes, especially as I’m living in a city with a thousand things to do! Making time to explore “space” is well worth the time if you get the chance.
